Information for participants
In the competitions from Friday to Sunday, participants of any nationality can start, within the time limits. In the main competition for the first 15 places only the best and some fixed ranked will start. As arrival day for all starters Thursday the 25.08. is strongly recommended. Also the fixed-ranked must start on Friday or Saturday.
Accommodation for the participants
In the immediate vicinity of the event site, participants will be provided with an appropriate area for setting up a campside.

Accommodation of the horses
In the immediate vicinity of the event site, participants will be provided with an appropriate area for setting up a camp for the horses.
Hay and water are provided free of charge.
Feeding and mucking out during the stay and mucking out before leaving is the responsibility of the horse owner.

Teilnahme-Bedingungen
General rules:
Foreign participants need an official health certificate for the movement of equidae, according to the EU Council Directive 2009/156/EC, Annex II.
• Covid-19 measures:
Current sanitation and standoff regulations apply, as well as various provisions for preventive protection due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
• General Data Protection Regulation:
All participants and visitors (regardless of their function) give their consent upon registration or entry to the venue that their data may be collected, processed and forwarded according to DSGVO and that they thereby also give their consent to image processing including acoustic information. geben.
• Entering the course (with or without horse) before the start of the competition is forbidden for all participants!
• Each participant is obliged to announce the number of accompanying persons and their horse experience. (This will allow access to the paddock by marking (wristbands)).
• Each participant announces at the registration if he/she is a representative of an European country.
- Each participant or accompanying person takes the house rules of the agricultural business of Johannes Stippich.
- The horse has to be basically healthy
- At least 4 years old
- Horse passport must be shown/presented at the registration office
- Necessary vaccinations carried out and noted in the horse passport
- Copy of liability insurance policy must be carried (policy number, insurance company)
- Feed condition satisfactory
- Hoof care satisfactory (shoeing not required)
- Horses under 500 kg live weight must be declared as such before the closing date for entries
- Each horse may start only 1 time per competition
- At least 18 years old
- Safety shoes
- Appropriate clothing
- Handling the strangle chain may only be done after disconnecting it from the local log; failure to do so will result in 50 penalty points each.
- Horse harness
- Swingletree, at least 80 cm wide (Schwebeortscheit is allowed)
- Draw scale for two-horse, at least 170 cm wide
- Fascine choking chain
- Water bucket
- Foam harness or breastplate harness with or without hoverortscheit
- Normal linen (leather or cords)
- Shock lines or lacing lines
- No whip use
- The harness must be customized to allow the horses to pull without pain or hindrance
- No worn out, too thin or too tight bits
- The control of the fulfillment of the conditions of participation is carried out by the judges.
- The decisions of the panel of judges are final.
- Objections are not admissible.
- Each participant is responsible for the safe handling of his/her animal(s) and must take appropriate care of it.
- The trunk is 10 m long in the open field
- The trunk must be straight. (delimbed and debarked)
- For horses over 500 kg live weight volume of about 0.4 m³.
- For horses under 500 kg live weight volume of about 0.25 m³.
- Wood species: spruce
- The trunk is to be attached thick-grained at the start.
The judge or another logger, who is not involved in the competition, will complete the course with a horse, which is not involved in the competition. This time is measured and represents the standard time. The time spent at the individual obstacles is at the discretion of the judge. The course does not have to be mastered faultlessly by the judge / forerunner. The end of the log must be pulled back over the start/finish line and the same position of the log was when started.
- The timekeeping is done by the judges. One minute before the end of the judging time, the judges will inform the competitor.

If the competitor has not completed the course after the guideline time has expired, he/she must stop the course and return to the starting area. The points scored so far will be counted. The obstacles that have not been completed will be scored.
The starting order will be determined by lot on the day of the competition. After that, the course inspection with the judges will take place.
The start takes place at the judge's signal after the competitor has entered the starting area with the horse.
Roughness (hitting the line, snatching in the mouth, kicking or similar) and verbal slips towards horses, judges and audience are forbidden. In case of violation, the judge will award penalty points or disqualify the participant.
- Auxiliaries such as a Sappin are not allowed
- The trunk must not be touched by hand or foot
- The logger must always avoid the log during a maneuver
- The log may only be touched in the holding position for the purpose of adjusting the strangle chain (lengthening, shortening or twisting).
- Only walk is allowed.
- The logger also does not have to run.
- Leading by the horse's head is not allowed.
- The logger shall stay or walk behind the animal's shoulder during the normal forward movement of the horse.
- Exceptions apply during a stop for the logger to change position and at specially designated obstacles.
- During a stop, the horse must not move more than half a step forward or backward, or the attached log must not move.
- A stop can be freely chosen by the participants at any time.
- A stop may be mandatory in case of obstacles, in which case it must be executed.
- The stop must last at least 3 seconds.
The logger may only lay down the lines ready to hand or attach them to the horse during a stop.
- A clear obstacle list with the respective achievable points per obstacle is to be published before the competition. (The obstacles correspond to the international standard).
- The course must be accessible to all participants before the start of the competition.
- All obstacles must be passed. The participant is free to skip obstacles for reasons of time/difficulty. This will be taken into account accordingly in the scoring.
- If an obstacle is not mastered, it can be skipped after one attempt. No points are awarded in this case.
- If the horse refuses 2 times, the obstacle will be scored and 100 penalty points will be awarded.
- The return routes and obstacles are to be bordered with 80 cm high wooden stakes or cylinders on which the dropping cones rest.
- Basically, wooden stakes driven into the ground shall be used.
- If pegs cannot be driven in, use wood cuttings with a diameter of about 20 cm.
- The dropping cones must be about 10 cm high and have a diameter of about 8 cm, cylindrical, colorful and also made of wood.
- The minimum distance between the return path limiters is the minimum length of the swingletree's side plus 20 cm.
- Dropping of the dropping cones causes penalty points.
- 100-400 points are awarded for each obstacle completed, depending on the difficulty.
- 50 penalty points will be awarded per dropped cone.
For the following offenses, 50 penalty points per obstacle will also be given after the first warning: - Touching the horse by logger to influence it
- Leading the horse by the head
- Touching the log by the logger
- Starting to trot
- Movement of the horse during a stop
- Omitting obstacles is allowed under certain conditions. (see 18.)
- Trotting three times or more than 3 canter jumps
- Beating the horse (even with the leash)
- Poor health condition of the horse
- Exhaustion, overwork and loss of control over the horse
- General danger of the participants, horses, spectators
- Violations of relevant animal welfare regulations
- Unsportsmanlike conduct (verbal abuse, etc.)
- Three times handling the strangle chain when it is not released from the Ortscheit (Pkt 2)
